Alba Yarns is a small independent online business selling knitting yarns, patterns and accessories.
My name is Joyce Thompson and I started the business in Scotland in 2006 – hence the name Alba Yarns – Alba is the ancient name for Scotland. I moved to France in 2007 with my husband and elderly Burmese cat.
In 2011 we moved to a 19th century farmhouse and during that time I have been helping my husband with the renovations. We are delighted to have brought the house and garden back to life after many years of neglect. I now have a lovely new wool store – one of the main goals for the move!
